Denmark's Radio Nova wins FM5 license for next 8 years

Hamburg/Copenhagen, July 1st, 2022 -- Today, Friday 1st July, it was announced that Bauer Media Audio Denmark’s radio station Nova has won the license for FM5 for the next eight years.

For the last 13 years, Nova has been the most successful commercial radio station in Denmark. Its record amount of weekly listeners and share (time spent with the station) is unsurpassed.

It has won the Golden Microphone for its morning program GO NOVA six times and has been nominated three times in the Zulu Award for Best Radio Program.

Nova is Bauer Media Audio’s largest brand and creates moments of entertainment, belonging and companionship for its listeners. It is a leader in creating innovative, client-focused advertising solutions across commercial, digital, and creative promotions and sponsorship that generates value for commercial partners.

Together with sales partners Jysk Fynsk Medier, Radio ABC and Nordjysk Medier, the station will continue to develop and innovate the commercial audio and radio market; helping to boost and further advance Denmark’s commercial sector.

“The FM5 license is incredibly important to us. It is the single license that covers most of the country and reaches over a million listeners every week,” says Jim Receveur, CEO Bauer Media Audio Denmark.

“We look forward to continuing to entertain, inform and engage our listeners and advertisers for the next eight years. Audio is extremely popular right now and we feel very privileged that we were chosen to continue the successful journey we have had up to now.”

The FM5 license that Nova transmits on today is renewed from November 20th, 2022, and will run for the next eight years.
