Building diversity
Bauer Media’s investments cover a diverse range of business areas including:
- Online Comparison Platforms (OCP). Bauer helps more than 10 million people across ten European countries save time and money on essential services from car insurance to energy.
- Health and wellbeing. Our investment in Lifesum gives millions of users access to expert health a dietary information through a dedicated App.
- Other media. Bauer Media owns a network of newspapers in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany), including Mediengruppe Magdeburg and Mediengruppe Mitteldeutsche Zeitung. We are also a minority shareholder in the German TV channel RTL ZWEI and Radio Hamburg.

Through its partnership with the Netrisk Group (in Central and Eastern Europe) and its ownership of Zmarta (Nordics) and Acierto (Spain), Bauer Media Group holds market-leading positions in online comparison across ten European countries. Bauer’s platforms help users compare insurance, personal finance, telecommunication and energy services. Netrisk Group
The Netrisk Group is a leading OCP provider in fast-growing CEE markets covering Poland (Rankomat), Czech (Srovnejto), Austria (durchblicker.at) Hungary (Netrisk.hu), Slovakia (Netfinancie.sk) and Lithuania (edrauda.lt). The business has a combined reach of 80 million potential users. Bauer is a joint owner of the Netrisk Group, alongside leading technology investors TA Associates and MCI Capital, since 2023.

Acierto.com is a leading company in the Spanish comparison market. It helps consumers compare prices of car, health, household, and life insurance policies, as well as loans and mortgages. Founded in 2007 and acquired by Bauer in 2021, 250 employees work under the Acierto.com umbrella brand.
Zmarta
Lifesum
Based in Sweden, Lifesum is a digital healthy eating platform trusted by 60 million users worldwide to help them live healthier lives. It provides tailored nutritional advice from hi-house and invited experts. Bauer has been a signficant shareholder in Lifesum since 2014
Regional Newspapers Germany
Bauer Media owns a network of newspapers in Saxony-Anhalt, including Mediengruppe Magdeburg and Mediengruppe Mitteldeutsche Zeitung. Combined, they make Bauer Media Group the largest provider of local and regional journalism in Central Germany, offering high quality local reporting and services to our readers and customers.
RTL ZWEI (German Television)
RTL ZWEI is a German-language television channel operated by RTL2 Television GmbH & Co. KG, of which Bauer Media is a joint owner. Its focus on a younger audience, with a range of documentaries, reality programing, and feature films.
Radio Hamburg
Radio Hamburg is operated by Radio Hamburg GmbH, of which Bauer Media is joint owner. Established in 1986, Radio Hamburg was one of Germany’s first private radio stations, and it continues to innovate and adapt to meet listeners needs.
