RMF launches a new premium subscription audio service

Hamburg/Warsaw, January 18, 2022 – Today, the RMF Group – Poland’s leading commercial radio and audio broadcaster – has announced that it has launched a pilot for an innovative premium subscription audio service. The service – titled ‘RMF Classic+’ – serves as a digital extension to the RMF Classic radio station providing additional ad-free content to classical music superfans that allows them to further engage with the genres that they love.

Subscribers will gain the ability to listen to an exclusive web stream, featuring an ad-free version of RMF Classic. They’ll also be provided with exclusive access to a new, RMF Classic+ only show, broadcasting on weekdays from 8-11PM. Listeners will be able to personalise the show to their own preferences, being able to choose from three distinct themes – Ballads, Movie Music and Classical. They’ll also gain access to exclusive podcasts – including recordings of the evening show, and special new series such as "A brief history of information technology" from Professor Ryszard Tadeusiewicz, "Two for one" by Tomasz Pindel and Szymon Kloska and "Film CLASSIC Classics" with Tytus Holdys.

RMF Classic+ follows on from the launch of similar premium subscription audio services in the UK and Denmark, with Bauer Media Audio growing its digital presence as it continues on the path to becoming a Global Audio Pioneer.

Speaking on the launch, Richard Dawkins, COO at Bauer Media Audio remarked “At Bauer Media Audio, we always want to ensure that we’re serving the needs of our listeners by bringing them great content. The launch of RMF Classic+ will allow us to continue doing this, enabling an audience of classical music superfans to dive even deeper into their passion, getting more music from the genre and RMF brand that they love.”

Ewa Miszczak-Dziurdzik, Vice-President of the RMF Board commented: "We know that RMF Classic attracts a unique audience of listeners who are interested in the arts and high culture. The station shares this interest, and by creating RMF Classic+ we believe that we’ll be able to further engage with this audience, bringing them more content from a genre they love. As part of the launch, we’re also implementing a new innovative solution which will allow listeners to choose from three different ‘moods’ of music on our new evening show. All of this can happen while still remaining connected to a single stream, hosted by our RMF Group presenters."

This launch follows previous similar launches in the UK and Denmark.

RMF Classic+ is available online for 9.90 Zloty/two Euros a month after a 30-day free- trial
