ULRIKE ABRATIS APPOINTED HEAD OF GROUP COMMUNICATIONS FOR BAUER MEDIA GROUP

Hamburg, May 6, 2021 – Bauer Media Group has appointed Ulrike Abratis as Head of Group Communications. Ulrike will oversee Bauer’s global communications strategy and lead the internal and external communications and public affairs teams. She will take over from Andrea Mohnsame, who has held the position ad interim and will return to focusing full time on her role as Chief Human Resources Officer. Ulrike will report to Yvonne Bauer and joins the company on July 1, 2021.

Ulrike has a rich and varied experience as communications expert and spokesperson. She joins Bauer Media from Fielmann where she is currently the Head of Communications and Public Relations. Prior to that, she held a variety of senior positions in communications and public relations, including at Otto, Hamburg Commercial Bank (formerly known as HSH Nordbank) and the Federal Ministry of Finance in Germany. She began her career as a freelance journalist and radio presenter.
