Shaping the future: for the next generation.


Born in Hamburg in 1977, Yvonne Bauer studied German and subsequently worked as a trainee for book publisher Hoffmann and Campe. After holding various positions within the sales organization of Bauer Media Group, she followed in the footsteps of her father Heinz in 2010. Today, she steers the domestic and international operations of the publishing group together with Executive Board members Veit Dengler, Jörg Hausendorf and Harald Jessen.



Veit Dengler

Veit Dengler, born in 1968, holds academic degrees from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Dengler has held various top positions throughout his international career, including at McKinsey and Dell. Most recently, as CEO of the Switzerland-based NZZ Media Group, he was responsible for the company’s strategic realignment. As of April 2018 Veit Dengler leads the development of new business as well as the activities of the Bauer Media Group in the UK, the USA, Australia and other countries.

Jörg Hausendorf


Joerg Hausendorf, born in 1964, has been a member of the Executive Board since 2013. Bauer Media Group appointed him Managing Director for women’s magazines in 2008. Prior to this, the economics graduate held various management positions at Ganske Verlagsgruppe. After training as an officer in the German army, he joined Schwartauer Werke as a product management trainee in 1992 and was eventually appointed Managing Director in Poland. He studied economics, politics and history at Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg.

Harald Jessen


Harald Jessen, born in 1971, studied Business Administration in Kiel. After his start at KPMG, he held a number of top management positions in the field of finance and controlling for international companies, including Siemens, the Knorr-Bremse Group and Friedhelm Loh Group. Harald Jessen joined Bauer Media Group as CFO in 2016. In this position, he held global responsibility for the Finance and Controlling divisions. In September 2017, Harald Jessen was appointed to the Executive Board.
