SVEN DAMS APPOINTED HEAD OF BUSINESS UNIT PUBLISHING GERMANY AT BAUER MEDIA GROUP

Hamburg, 22 January 2019 – Sven Dams, 54, has been appointed Head of Business Unit Publishing Germany at Bauer Media Group with immediate effect. Since the autumn of last year, the job had been done by a management team under the aegis of Jörg Hausendorf, 54, member of the executive board at Bauer Media Group. Besides Sven Dams, the other members of the team are Ingo Klinge, 49, Dirk Wiedenmann, 54, and Heribert Bertram, 51. By appointing a dedicated manager for the German side of the business, Jörg Hausendorf can now fully concentrate on his duties in the Business Unit Publishing and on the Executive Board. Sven Dams will report to Jörg Hausendorf in his new role.

Sven Dams started his career in 1994 as a trainee at Bauer Media Group in Hamburg. After spells that included Head of Merchandising and Publications Manager BRAVO in Munich, he became Publishing Manager at Hubert Burda Media in Offenburg. He returned to Bauer in 2012 and has been responsible for the group’s TV magazines, among other things, since 2012 in his role as Managing Director of Bauer Programm KG. Until further notice, Sven Dams will fill this role in addition to his position as Head of Business Unit Publishing Germany.
