BAUER MEDIA GROUP: A FAMILY BUSINESS

 

Born in Hamburg in 1977, Yvonne Bauer studied German and subsequently worked as a trainee for book publisher Hoffmann and Campe. After holding various positions within the sales organization of Bauer Media Group, she followed in the footsteps of her father Heinz in 2010. Today, she steers the domestic and international operations of the publishing group together with Executive Board members Joerg Hausendorf, Andreas Schoo and Witold Wozniak..

 

 

Jörg Hausendorf

 

Joerg Hausendorf, born in 1964, has been a member of the Executive Board since 2013. Bauer Media Group appointed him Managing Director for women’s magazines in 2008. Prior to this, the economics graduate held various management positions at Ganske Verlagsgruppe. After training as an officer in the German army, he joined Schwartauer Werke as a product management trainee in 1992 and was eventually appointed Managing Director in Poland. He studied economics, politics and history at Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg.

Andreas Schoo

 

Born in 1960, Andreas Schoo has been a member of the Executive Board since 2007. The fully qualified lawyer began his career at Bauer Media Group in the company’s legal department in 1992. He was subsequently responsible for a range of magazines as publishing manager. In 2000, he was appointed Managing Director for TV Guides. Andreas Schoo studied law in Göttingen, Hamburg and Los Angeles and worked as a lawyer for a renowned commercial law firm before joining Bauer Media Group.

Witold Wozniak

 

Born in 1968, Witold Wozniak has led Bauer Media Poland since 1999 and was responsible for the establishment of its print, radio and online activities, as well as the construction of its printing plants. He has been a member of the Executive Board since 2015. After working as a consultant and auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he joined the hygiene company SCA as Head of Finance and Administration. Prior to this, Witold Wozniak studied international trade and finance at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
