Hamburg, January 15, 2019 – Effective January 1st, 2019 Daniela Mertens is appointed Global Business Partner Human Resources at Bauer Media Group. In her new role, Daniela will be responsible for Bauer’s Talent Management strategy, with the aim to attract, retain and develop best-in-class senior leaders and business-critical talent. She will also work in close cooperation with Bauer’s network of local HR business partners to facilitate continuous improvement of all HR activities across the Group.
Daniela has 15 years’ HR experience in a variety of sectors, including global roles. She has successfully managed M&A and global talent initiatives in SME and large corporations and has worked and lived in six different countries.

Daniela most recently worked as International Human Resources Director for a pharma company in the UK. Her previous roles include senior HR positions at Johnson & Johnson (UK), Accenture (Germany) and Ernst & Young (Spain, Mexico, Hungary), with a strong focus on talent and change management as well as M&A and Private Equity. She has an International MBA and MSc in Psychology.
