NEW DIGITAL VENTURES ACROSS THE GLOBE
Our international digital portfolio comprises more than 400 online newspapers, magazines, apps and portals. We’re constantly investing in new products and highly promising online offerings.
NEW DIVISION: BAUER XCEL MEDIA
With 140 unique users and offices in Hamburg, London, New York, Melbourne, Sydney and Warsaw, Bauer Xcel Media is one of the fastest-growing digital media companies. This umbrella brand is an expression of Bauer Media’s global orientation in this sector. The digital focus enables new and existing products to be scaled more quickly and efficiently and aligned fully with user needs.
IN THE FAST LANE IN THE UK, IN SWEDEN AND IN POLAND
In the UK we launched a trendy online platform for young women called The Debrief. Also we are the owner of the Zmarta Group in Sweden, a leading fintech marketplace in Northern Europe, which helps all customers improve their personal finances. Whereas in Poland Bauer Media created and established the new lifestyle brand Interia.pl, while with Sunrise System Poland, a specialist for digital marketing, we are one of the leading providers of search services in Eastern Europe.
GERMAN PORTALS, APPS AND COMMUNITIES
In Germany, we’re constantly developing new portals, apps and communities. From the premium food portal LECKER.de, to the women’s portal Wunderweib.de and the platform for health and medical issues Praxisvita.de – all our online offerings are supplemented by apps and lively communities.
CLASSIFIEDS DRIVING THE MARKET
The online classified ad market is booming – and we’ve got a slice of the action! Platforms like AutoTrader in New Zealand, gebrauchtwagen.de in Germany, or bazar.at in Austria round off our digital portfolio. We’ve held a stake in billigflieger.de since 2008 and the air fare comparison portal has since become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bauer Media Group.
The majority of our magazines around the world are available digitally. With more than 130 titles, we’re the number 1 in Apple News, the largest publisher in Germany with 40 online newspapers, and our magazines dominate the Google Play Newsstand. As a result of our partnership with the flat-fee platform readly.com we can offer our readers a multitude of magazines at a modest price.
If you want to shape the digital future, you have to nurture and support new ideas: via our specially founded venture capital companies, our investments therefore include the international B2B online marketing platform Kyto and the diet and health app Lifesum.
