bella refresh: now even fresher, more service-oriented – and prettier
Starting with Issue 48/2011 (release date: 23rd November) bella – the weekly feel-good magazine – will be appearing in a new look.

At the heart of the new bella is the 16-page “My Life” section, underscoring the uniqueness of the women's weekly. Every week, “My Life” brings readers new articles to inspire them and make their lives more beautiful. All of the reports, psychological topics, self-tests and advice columns are meant to assist, support and inspire readers to try new things.
The new extra “Time for Me” invites readers to immediately immerse themselves in 12 pages of relaxing wellness-themed content – featuring outstanding photography, a wealth of exciting news reports, a series in which readers describe what makes them feel good, and – unique in the weekly women’s magazine market – a special section devoted to the topics of wellness, fitness, spirituality and psychology.
A new section on dieting represents even more added value. Each diet is described comprehensively and support is offered by a personal coach, who recommends targeted exercises and provides motivational tips and the latest news from nutritional science.
Another big service plus is medical information focusing on preventive care and alternative therapies.
In addition, a visual makeover makes for more intuitive and cleaner reader guidance. The number of typefaces has been reduced and the entire design has been given a more sensual look.
Responsible for the new design is editor-in-chief Sabine Ingwersen and Nicole Kleinhammer, who since July of this year has held the joint position of deputy editor of tina and managing editor of bella. “At the heart of bella are our sophisticated readers, who expect real value from every article in addition to entertainment”, she said, explaining the magazine’s updated look. “Accordingly, we endeavour to inspire, to provide food for thought, to track hot topics and to set trends every week in bella.”
“The new bella is the vibrant counterpart to tina. The only feel-good magazine in the weekly magazine segment,” editor-in-chief Ingwersen said.
