Consistent success on the Polish and British radio markets

TV and Radio products are a strategically important supplement to the Print and Online products of the Bauer Media Group. The media group successfully operates in the TV and radio markets in Germany, Poland and the UK. In addition to the German investments in RTL II and Radio Hamburg, the Bauer Media Group owns the largest radio group in Poland, RMF. In the UK, the company runs 42 stations, making it one of the largest commercial radio groups.

Radio market leader in Poland
With more than 10.85 million listeners daily, Grupa RMF has a 31.1 per cent share of the Polish radio market. Beyond that, the RMF group internet radio platform comprises an additional 82 online stations.

Thanks to targeted programming and numerous, very successful marketing and listener events, the Polish radio stations of the Bauer Media Group have maintained their strong position relative to their peers and succeeded in securing the long-term loyalty of their listeners. The station RMF FM has been at the top of the Polish radio market since 2001 and is continuously expanding its lead.

One of the largest commercial radio providers in the UK
The Bauer Media Group is the second-largest commercial radio provider in the UK. It broadcasts a total of 42 local, regional and national stations in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It is currently number one in 20 of its 21 markets.

With more than 11 million inhabitants and more than 40 competing ratio stations, London is one of the most competitive radio markets in Europe. This is where the Bauer Media Group operates the station Magic 105.4 with around 20 million listeners, making it one of the most successful commercial stations.

The British radio products are also bringing the Bauer Media Group enormous success in the area of social media: More than 1.1 million fans follow the stations’ Facebook pages. Around 200,000 followers read the updates and tweets on the stations’ profiles and follow the radio anchors’ Twitter accounts.
