1991

With TV Movie, Bauer Verlagsgruppe launches one of the most successful titles ever to hit the German market. The TV Movie brand today offers TV programme information across all media channels: print, online and mobile.

On 28 August the media company takes ownership of the Magdeburg daily Volksstimme.

1992

The printing house of Pabel Moewig Verlag KG in Rastatt, today VPM Druck KG, is hived off. At the end of the year the offset print shop goes live in a new production facility.

The TV guide TV klar is launched.

The publisher acquires an initial 24 per cent stake in private television station RTL II.

Bauer Verlagsgruppe introduces the “Goldene Feder” (Golden Quill) media prize to honour outstanding performance and achievements in journalism.

1993

The adaptation for the German market of the successfully established UK magazine Take a Break is published for the first time under the name mach mal Pause.

In the town of Barleben near Magdeburg the foundation stone is laid for a new offset printing centre.

1994

The launch of BRAVO Sport in May adds another member to the BRAVO stable.

1995

TV Movie becomes the first Bauer Verlagsgruppe title to have an online presence. With www.tvmovie.de the media company lays the foundation for its future digital activities.

The women’s magazine Laura is introduced in January.
